My journey to get healthy started in late December 2015.  I had major surgery on my right shoulder, I was in a lot of pain and I was gaining weight.  I'd managed to lose 28 pounds during 2015, but it wasn't easy!

What changed my life?  My girlfriend back in Kansas, Carolyn, convinced me to start taking Plexus products.  Plexus is a health and wellness company based on all plant based products.  Needless to say, I think their products are awesome!
The best part of Plexus is it burns FAT not Muscle.  It is also not a weight loss program, but a wellness program for everyone.  Most everyone has blood sugar issues......and poor gut health!
I have a lot of health issues.  Let me just say that Plexus  DOES NOT cure any disease or issues.  But it does help your body to get healthy naturally.  It focuses on gut health.  Gut health is so important.  Everyday, the health industry is finding out that a lot of ailments people have are due to poor gut health.

Plexus has an excellent probiotic and cleanse, but my favorite product is Slim.  This was originally designed for type 2 diabetics to help bring their blood sugar in control.  The side benefit was possible weight loss.  Well I'm a type 2 diabetic and very much obese.  So I thought, this might work for me.

In January 2016, I started Slim.  After two weeks, I started the probiotic and cleanse.  I lost weight, my blood sugars came way down and I was able to completely get off of Humalog and cut my Lantus at night, down to 60 units.  I even lost weight.

Up in the left corner of the above picture (December 2015). The other two were in late 2016.

I will post a current picture soon.   Needless to say, Plexus was very successful for me, then I got laid off from my part time job and ran out of money.  I was off Plexus most of December through the middle of March.  I'm now back on it and ready to pick up where I left off!

I had been pretty sick with the flu this winter and had to take a lot of insulin as my sugars just soared.  Needless to say, I gained some of my weight back.  So when I finally got into my doc for a followup, I weighed 308 pounds.  I told you, I'm severely obese!  But I don't want to be any longer.  That was March 22nd.  Saturday, April 22nd, I was down 13 pounds to 295.

My plan is to post a weekly picture so I can see if I've made any changes.

So, with all that said,  here are my goals for 2017:

1.  Continue with Plexus.
2.  Lose 50 pounds (that's just my first goal of course!)
3.  Develop a "clean" diet, getting off bread, sugar, soda, carbs, etc. (I'm already at this stage, hence my success for the past month.  Slim helps curb my appetite, cravings and desire for soda.  )
4.  Walk everyday, building up to 10,000 steps a day.
5.  Bring about more positive people and attitudes.  (negativity sucks! just sayin....)
6.  Go to Plexus Convention in June, being able to walk around rather than rent a scooter!

Okay, that's enough for goals.  If I make too many, I can't follow through.  Small brain, only holds so much!!!!!!

As for my goals, here is my report for Mar22-April 22nd

1.  Still taking Plexus.  I take Xfactor (multi vitamin) Mega X (which helps me sleep) Probio5 and Bio cleanse, Nerve, Ease (great for helping with nerve issues created from diabetes and general aches and pains) and Slim.
2.  Down 13, 37 to go!
3.  I'm keeping my carbs to 20g per day.  It is basically a ketogenic diet.  low carbs, high fat, moderate protein.  There is an awesome lady who has videos showing different recipes and explains why she started doing the keto diet.  Cooking with Kristy on Youtube.  Check it out if you are interested!
4.  Saturday, the 22nd, I finally was able to walk 1,000 (not 10,000~) steps around my neighborhood.  I am using hand crutches, and it isn't easy!.  But I walked for 24 minutes.  It's a start.  I'll get there.
Now I'm going to Walmart and push a shopping cart around to get my steps in. That way I can walk standing upright and not hunched over!)
5.  I'm interacting alot on social media and everyone is positive (for the most part) so it spills off onto me!  What a great benefit!
6.  Can't report on this, but doing 1-5 will get me to my goal.

Now, if you are interested in Plexus, be sure to visit my web page http://shopmyplexus.com/lorrispencer .   This isn't a blog to sell Plexus, but my hope is to share my journey with you.  Come and join me!  You don't have to do Plexus, or anything, for that matter.  It is a personal choice what you do.  I would just love the company and support!

Please feel free to comment anytime, but please! No negative comments!  I know I"m fat! I'm trying to do something about it!  Your encouragement will help me along the way.

Love to all,

LO
